The Active Projects tab displays all of the projects in your Jira instance.

NEW FEATURE: Atlassian has introduced the concept of a Trash Bin for Jira projects. Within Jira, when administrators delete a project it goes to the Trash Bin. Projects can be restored from the Trash Bin up to (60) days. After that point, Atlassian will automatically delete any projects in the Trash Bin. So Instance Auditor (Jira) has been update to account for this new feature and provides the administrator with an option to delete the project permanently or delete it to the Trash Bin. The new Instance Auditor (Jira) works as follows:

  • Once a project or projects are selected and the administrator clicks the delete button, the popup appears asking if the administrator desires to delete the project(s) to the Trash Bin.

    • Ok = Yes

    • Cancel = No

  • The next popup will request a final validation before performing the delete operation. You will also know which selection you made on the previous popup by the message displayed:

    • Trash Bin = “Confirm send to Trash Bin for selected Projects

    • Permanent Deletion = “Confirm permanent deletion for selected Projects

  • **You should validate that your instance has been upgraded by Atlassian to contain the Trash Bin feature before attempting to use this feature in Instance Auditor (Jira).

Info

Warning

IMPORTANT NOTE: The project list will only show projects that the resource executing it has permissions to access. Since this is an App dedicated to Jira Administrators, this should not be a major issue as resources at this level typically have access to all of the Jira project in the instance. However, there are cases where Jira Administrators are locked out of a project and in these cases those projects will be absent from the list. A good example are projects that contain highly sensitive data, such as a Human Resources or Security project.
