Installing Instance Auditor (Jira)

The best (and easiest) way to install Instance Auditor (Jira) is by using the following steps:

  1. Login to your Jira instance as an administrator.

  2. Navigate to your Administrator Panel and access the Apps link:

    1. New Jira UI:

      1. Cog → Apps → Find new apps

      2. Apps → Manage apps (this is located in the top menu bar).

    2. Old Jira UI:

      1. Jira Settings → Apps → Find new apps

  3. In the Search for apps box, enter Instance Auditor or Instance Auditor (Jira).

  4. Click the Try it free button to download and install the App.

  5. You’re Done with the installation process at this point. To validate it was a successful install:

    1. Select the correct option below based on your current UI setting:

      1. New Jira UI:

        1. Cog → Apps → Manage apps

      2. Old Jira UI:

        1. Jira Settings → Apps → Manage apps

    2. You should see Instance Auditor (Jira) in the list of user-installed apps.

Another way to verify the installation is the following:

  1. Make the proper selection based on your UI setting:

    1. New Jira UI: Cog → Apps → Manage apps

    2. Old Jira UI: Jira Settings → Apps → Manage apps

  2. You should see a new section called RenWare Instance Auditor with links under it.

    1. If you see what is described in step (2), then you are ready to use Instance Auditor (Jira).

    2. If you do not see what is described in step (2), then you can try again or open a support ticket in the RenWare Support Portal.
